To get started, you'll first need to head to the Avatar builder on your mobile device, which you can find when you tap the smiley face in the comment composer on Facebook.

You can also access the builder from Bookmarks on the Menu of the Facebook app. To get there, tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom right side of your screen, and then scroll down to "See More" and then "Avatars." Finally, you can make an Avatar by simply tapping on any Avatar you've seen shared by your friends. You'll only be able to access the builder from Facebook Messenger if you're using an Android device, but according to the company, the feature will be rolled out for iOS users soon.

It only requires a few simple steps to create your Avatar, and you'll be able to customize many features such as skin tone, style and color, eye shape, nose shape, glasses, hairstyles, and more.
