Apple TV App Comes to Xbox Consoles This Month
Game consoles can do more than just play games. Apps like Twitch, Netflix, YouTube, Spotify are also available on game consoles such as Xbox and PlayStation. In addition to xbox consoles, a new app is coming: Apple TV. Apple TV, Apple's movie buying and renting app, will take its place on Xbox consoles from November 10.
The app will also be available to Xbox console owners, along with many of the services we count above. The Apple TV app is described on Apple's official website as: "Meticulously crafted, tailored compilations for discovering the best content.
Thousands of movies you can buy or rent. And it's all in one place and on any screen you want. In short, the most innovative way to watch TV is the new Apple TV app." But perhaps the most interesting part of the event is that Microsoft has a service called Movies & TV that offers a similar service. Like other media apps on Xbox consoles, the Apple TV app will support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Also, Onmsft.com reports that it's much easier to find content with this audio and visual technology than Microsoft's Movies & TV app. In addition to apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime, we'll have to wait and see in the long run how the coming of Apple TV will affect Microsoft's own movie and tv rental service.
