Nike presents 32,500 Shoes to Health Care Workers in The Fight Against Coronavirus.

Health workers are working day and night to combat coronavirus. Aware of the situation, sportswear giant Nike has decided to donate 32,500 pairs of Air Zoom Pulse models. The shoe is designed especially for medical personnel.

Nike will cooperate with local organizations across Europe and good360 in the United States as part of the donation. So the shoes are the only one who can do that. Hospitals in Barcelona, Chicago, Laakdal, London, Los Angeles, Memphis, Milan, New York City and Paris will be distributed to medics tasked with coronavirus.

Nike, which will donate shoes to medics, normally offered these shoes for sale with a price tag of $120. This comes as a clue to calculate the total amount of aid made. On the other hand, it's a fact that medics have to work long hours standing. Taking this in mind, the company designed the Air Zoom Pulse and launched it late last year.

Design; physical difficulties, simplicity and practicality were taken into account. The shoe is easy to wear and remove. The friction force at the base was specifically calculated for fixing the foot in hospital conditions. Although Nike has not officially approved the throwing of sneakers into the washing machine, the Air Zoom Pulse is designed to be easy to erase and keep clean.

The product test was carried out at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Oregon. During the tests, designers had the opportunity to get a closer look at the challenges facing health care workers. Given a nurse's 12-hour shift, the employees in question walk about 6.5 to 8 kilometres during that time and sit for less than an hour. So it's obvious that the work is physically and mentally laborious.
