Apple Releases iOS 13.7 Update: Here's What's New

Apple has sent a new software update to iPhone users. The update, called iOS 13.7, offers "exposure notifications against COVID-19 to users. In this way, users will be warned if they are in contact with people who have had coronavirus.

Apple, which is now mostly on the agenda with iOS 14, released a new update about a month after launching iOS 13.6. Apple upgrades its operating system to iOS 13.7 with an update, while the latest update brings a number of innovations to users.

Exposure notifications are related to the coronavirus outbreak that has become part of our lives. Users receive notifications when they approach people who have had coronavirus using this feature of their phones. In this way, it is aimed to prevent contact.

iOS 13.7 exposure notification system, which is likely to be life-saving, saves users from third-party apps. So much so that a user activates this feature using his phone's Settings menu and continues its life as usual. If a user contacts someone caught in COVID-19, they are alerted by notification sent to the phone.

The new feature, introduced to users with iOS 13.7, is currently only available in some U.S. states, including Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia and Nevada. Apple said its scope would expand in the future, but did not forget the areas where the feature was not available. The feature can be partially used through routing to third-party applications in areas where support is not offered.

Meanwhile, the iOS 13.7 update doesn't offer exposure notifications to users. The company says some bug fixes and general system improvements are also included with this update. New Memoji stickers are also available to users with iOS 13.7.

The iOS 13.7 update is now available for download by users. To do this, you can go to this Software Update section in your phone's Settings menu. The update, which is about 400 MB in size, will probably be the latest update on the iOS 13. The company will now continue to work on iOS 14 and later.
