Fortnite is back on iPhone But Apple-Epic Games Tension Will Continue

Due to disputes over payment systems, Epic Games withdrew from the App Store. Since then, we haven't seen Fortnite on iPhone and iPad models, but it seems that this will change in 2023.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney heralded Fortnite's return to iOS in 2023 in a post on Twitter. In addition to celebrating the new year with a share on December 31, Sweeney shared the phrases 'Next year is on iOS' and managed to excite gamers.,

Under this share, the Epic Games CEO, who shared a post of the Fortnite game, avoided giving more details. The tweet by Sweeney reveals that there may be a compromise between Apple and Epic Games. On the other hand, it is worth remembering that the appeal process of the case between the two companies continues. That's why Fortnite's return to iOS may be a little delayed.

In an interview in December, Sweeney said that if that's all it takes to achieve victory, Apple will even face off in the Supreme Court. The Epic Games CEO also criticized Apple for its App Store policy.

While all these discussions are going on, the European Union Digital Market Markets Law forcing Apple to use third-party applications may have caused the company to take a step back on Fortnite. With the new law, iPhone and iPad models will be able to officially use third-party applications in the fall.

While this is the case, the possibility that Apple may have opted to deal with Epic Games is being discussed. If everything happens as Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney explains, we will be able to see Fortnite on Apple products again in 2023.
