How to make an email group in gmail (With Screenshots)

Gmail has come up with many features that make people’s tasks easy. If you do emailing to multiple contacts then you must know “how to create a Gmail Group”.

Gmail group helps send one email to multiple contacts at one go. All you have to do is, create a label in the Gmail contact section. So, whenever you want to send emails to multiple contacts, simply type the group name in the compose. That’s it. All the contacts in the group will automatically appear.

How To Create A Gmail Group?  

Creating a Gmail mailing list is pretty simple. You just need to have your own Gmail email address and follow a few steps.

Step 1: Log in to your Gmail account.

Step 2: Click on mini squares on the upper right side. It is also called “Google Apps”. You will find Contacts in the list of applications. 


Step 3: Go to “Contacts”. A new page will open. There, you can manage your contacts lists such as add or delete groups, create new contacts, and many more

Step 4: Click on “Create label” on the left side to create a group. A label is actually a group in Gmail. With the help of label, you can create a group. 
                                                 
Step 5: Name a label (group name) and click on save. Now, you can add a contact to the label. Add the contact first and then add it to the group.




Step 6: To add a contact in the group, simply go to “contacts” or “Frequently Contacted” and click on more action (three vertical dots) and click on the group you want to add the contact.



Once you create a group/label, it will add up to your Gmail account. You just need to type the group name when you compose the email. All the emails added to that particular group will add up automatically..
