Sony Xperia 1 II powerful camera and specs

Teased ahead of an expected launch later this month, camera samples show the Xperia 1 II offering better low-light performance than its predecessor. The device, which will retail for over €1,000 at launch, will come pre-installed with a new Photography Pro app, too. Just the other day, Sony surprised us with the Xperia L4. We didn’t notice the company would be revealing something new. We were too busy with other OEMs we always forget about Sony.

Well, the brand hasn’t been really aggressive with the mobile business. We’ll always be interested in what new device is ready from Sony so after the Sony Xperia 10 II and the Xperia L4, let’s look into the Sony Xperia 1 II. The naming convention is nothing new because this only follows the Xperia 10 II from the same line.

Sony has been showing off the camera capabilities of the Xperia 1 II ahead of its anticipated release. Shared with members of the Japanese media and published by MyNavi, Sony is pushing the Alpha-inspired features that the Xperia 1 II offers. The Xperia 1 II is Sony's first smartphone with a ZEISS lens. Expected to arrive by the end of this month, the Xperia 1 II has three 12 MP rear-facing cameras and a 3D iToF camera. As the images below demonstrate, the Xperia 1 II has better low-light capabilities than its predecessor.

The Xperia 1 II will come with the Photography Pro app pre-installed, the still equivalent to the Cinema Pro app. While we have included YouTube videos below that showcase the Photography Pro app, MyNavi has covered the camera capabilities of the Xperia 1 II in detail. Please see a translated version of the article for more information.
