Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or Galaxy Note 10+? Comparison

The Note 20 Ultra's Dynamic AMOLED display is only 0.1 inches larger than the 6.8-inch Note 10+ display. So the difference is quite small and the same goes for screen resolution.

Tons of difference detail is the high refresh rate display in the new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The 120 Hz screen is theoretically twice as fast as 60 Hz screen. But remember, it also consumes the battery faster.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 10+: Hardware and performance

Again, there will be no significant performance difference between the Snapdragon 865+ and the Snapdragon 855. Both devices have a hilariously unnecessary 12GB of RAM. The Note 20 Ultra starts with 128GB of local storage, while the Note 10+ starts with 256GB of storage.

However, international versions of both phones come with Samsung's unquestionably slower Exynos chipsets: the Note 20 Has the Ultra Exynos 990, while the Note 10+ Exynos 9825. The difference is not felt once again.

5G support

Note 20 Ultra is a 5G-ready device. This device does not have 5G support except for the 5G-enabled special version of note 10+ available in certain markets.

Battery

Note 20 Ultra is superior to note 10+ in another important area: battery size. With a 4,500mAh battery, the new device promises longer battery life compared to the Note 10+, which has a 4,300mAh battery. But when you turn on the 120Hz screen, the entire battery life is reduced. Enough to fall behind the Note 10+.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 10+: S Pen and functionality

The S Pen in galaxy note 20 Ultra has received some improvements. The first delay is now almost the same level as Apple Pencil and 9ms. The older Note 10+ certainly has a much larger delay that can be noticed.

Wireless DeX mode is no longer required by cable or any other tool to transfer DeX mode to a compatible device with note 20 Ultra. But you can also use Miracast instead. You'll need to use a cable with note 10+.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 10+: Camera

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 108 MP features the main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide and 12 MP telephoto camera. It offers 5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom. In contrast, the Note 10+ comes with 12MP main + 12MP 2x telephoto + 16MP ultra wide camera with the help of the ToF sensor and is much more modest. Both phones have a 10 MP front camera.

Both are good enough image quality, but the Note 20 Ultra is one step ahead.

The Note 20 ultra can shoot 8K video at 24 fps. 4K 60fps images from both the Note 20 Ultra and the Note 10+ are certainly much more useful.

Is Note 20 Worth Switching to Ultra?

Note 20 Ultra is an expensive phone with an initial price of $1,449.99 for the 128GB version and $1,449.99 for a 512GB variation. In contrast, a brand new 256GB Note 10+ can be purchased for $1,099. When we put it that way, buying the more future-looking Note 20 Ultra makes more sense. But what if you already have a Note 10+?

If you're completely satisfied with your device, you can handle the Note 10+ for a few more long years. Of course, the new Note 20 Ultra is better in more than one way, but that doesn't mean the Note 10+ is significantly lacking in any significant ways.
