How to Backup iPhone that doesn't turn on the screen

If you have a computer that isn't turned on and you've already used your iPhone and said "trust" on your iPhone, you can connect your broken iPhone to that computer and back up with iTunes/Finder. Note that under normal circumstances, a screen set does not delete your data.

SECURE OF THE IPHONE THAT WILL NOT BE THE SCREEN

Follow the steps below:

  • Open Finder/iTunes and wait for the iPhone that doesn't turn on the screen is detected. Then click the device icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  • In the left sidebar, select Summary, and then under Automatically back up, select "This PC."
  • If necessary, select the Encrypt Backup check box to set a password to protect your backups.
  • Click "Back up now" to start the backup now. The backups are stored locally on your PC or Mac.

REUSE OF PICTURES AND DATA FROM INWRITTEN IPHONE

If you've ever trusted a computer with your current iPhone, backing up your damaged iPhone with iTunes is easy. However, there are still some limitations. For example, all backup data is encrypted in unreadable formats. You can only view files in backup when you restore them to an iPhone or iPad. However, there is an alternative way.

With Gihosoft Free iPhone Recovery, you can transfer data from the damaged iPhone to your computer and then save it in readable formats, including images, text/iMessages, contacts, notes, WhatsApp, Viber, voice notes, Safari history, calendars, and reminders. This feature allows you to back up your iPhone directly with a screen that doesn't turn on, or to view the data in iTunes/Finder backup files. You can also preview the files in detail and select the data you want before backing it up and restoring it.

SECURE YOUR IPHONE THAT THE SCREEN NOT ON A NEW COMPUTER

If you haven't previously enabled the "Trust this computer" option on your iPhone when you're connected to a PC, both your computer and Finder/iTunes won't be able to detect the iPhone.

Here are some options for backing up the encrypted iPhone that won't turn on on a new computer:

  • Use the Bluetooth keyboard (prepaired) to enter the password on the screen.
  • For example, suppose the question "Trust this computer" appears and press Enter on the keyboard to select Trust (not guaranteed).
