iOS 15.4 running Face ID even with mask released: Here are the new features

Apple has finally started rolling out iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, which have been in the testing process for a long time. Apple began testing the highly anticipated update in January. Since then, many iPhone and iPad users can't wait to try out the new features.

Apple has introduced iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 updates. The size of the update can vary from device to device, but it can be said that it is an average size of 1.21 GB. New features include being able to unlock your device with a mask on your face and be able to perform all Face ID transactions, such as verifying payments. So you won't need to un unmask or unlock your phone without entering your password. After installing iOS 15.4, you'll need to manually activate it by selecting face ID and password from the Settings app to use this feature.

The new update comes with a number of new features, including 37 new emojis, a new audio option for Siri, 120Hz ProMotion support for third-party apps for iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, universal control. Universal Control lets you control multiple Macs and iPads with a single keyboard and trackpad or mouse.

Apple added 120 Hz refresh rate support to its iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models. However, 120 Hz ProMotion was not available in third-party apps installed on the phone. Apple called it a Core Animation error. Thanks to the new iOS version, 120Hz ProMotion is now available in third-party apps.

You can download iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 to your device by following these steps:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Go to Settings > General and tap Software Update.
  3. You can download the new version to your device by tapping Download and Install.
