Date is becoming clear for MacBook and iPad with OLED displays!

Ross Young, who made accurate determinations about Apple products in the past, gave a date for Apple's OLED display products. According to Young, Apple plans to launch the new 13-inch MacBook Air, 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with OLED display in 2024.

Young didn't share any additional details, but earlier this year he did state that all three devices will feature "dual-stack" OLED screens with two layers of red, green and blue emissions for greater brightness and lower power consumption. Young also announced that all three new models will have 120 Hz ProMotion support.

iPad Pro models released after 2017 already have ProMotion with a refresh rate of 24 Hz to 120 Hz. For MacBook Air, this technology will be a complete first. Apple also introduced ProMotion on its 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models last year.

Ross Young had previously correctly predicted that devices such as the iPhone 13 Pro and MacBook Pro would have ProMotion, the sixth-generation iPad mini would have an 8.3-inch display, and the latest MacBook Air would have a slightly larger 13.6-inch screen. When we consider these, we can say that the date given for MacBook and iPad models with OLED screens is also correct.

Apple's latest MacBook Air and iPad Pro models feature LCD displays with mini LED backlighting for increased brightness and an improved 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Unlike LCDs with mini LEDs, OLED displays have their own pixel illumination and do not require backlighting, which gives devices better contrast ratio and battery life.
