How to turn off 5G on iPhone Devices
In many cities around the world, 5G is now very widely used and started to enter with iPhone 12 and 13 Pro phones. All these developments brought with it a number of new changes and features. 5G-Enabled iPhones also changed the perception of iPhones again, with curved edges, some new color options that didn't exist before.
One of the features that helps activate 5G on your iPhone is the built-in "Smart Data Mode". This is included to help users get the best possible speeds based on their location and work. When activated, your iPhone will automatically switch between LTE and 5G (if available). Oddly enough, "Smart Data Mode" is nowhere to be found in the Settings app.
Instead, it was labeled "5G Auto" and embedded in cellular data settings. In addition to confusion, if 5G Auto is activated, your iPhone can display the 5G logo despite using LTE to browse the web or watch a video.
REASONS TO TURN OFF 5G
There are two main reasons why you want to disable 5G on your iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. The first is battery life, because the 5G connection consumes your battery about 20% faster than the LTE bands installed on your iPhone 12 and iphone 13
